A: None! So long as you accept the resource pack on join (and play on version 1.20.1 for best experience), this server works entirely within vanilla minecraft! The modpack only adds things like a minimap, item displays, and proximity vc, but its not required.
Q: Do I need friends to play this? What if the server is empty...?
A: D2MC is designed to play both with and without other players! If theres no one on, you can run things in solo (although its best to bring a friend.)
Q: Is there buildcrafting?
A: Yes! This server is *heavily* built around finding what gear works best for you, experimentation isnt just allowed, its ENCOURAGED!
