Some good, some bad. Good: player-specific chest loot means everyone can loot End ships, bastions, etc. and still get elytras/treasure. Bad: claims don’t expire, old abandoned claims stay forever, and with a 100k border diamonds/netherite are getting harder to find.

Claims never expire. Abandoned builds are everywhere. I suggested a 1-year claim expiration and was told to go pound sand.
