DO NOT JOIN APPLE/ORCHARD SMP Garbage staff, here is my story of why you SHOULD NOT join this SMP (sorry for any grammar/spelling ahead of time, im not that good with words or anything like that) Around 2 weeks or so after launch I joined the server, and everything was fine until a couple weeks ago, thats when the storm happened. A few people came together and figured out Ludwig was using bots to boost playercount, no big deal, I did not care, when he was asked about this he immediately blew up on people and started crashing out, threats to close the server, started muting/banning people for asking questions, whole 9 yards. That is when I started wanting to leave, myself and some friends then decided to leave as the situation with banning people to “de-escalate” the situation got worse. After we decided to leave, we started our own server, vanilla, private, with good vibes and better company. With everything going on in Apple SMP, a few of us leaving decided to remove our builds from the server, so myself and some volunteers started making tnt, one of my friends was the first to start blowing up their own base, they were banned before they could ingite the tnt. A bit later I had started on my own base, everything went mostly smooth, Ludwig popped in, had a look around, and watched me do it, after I was done, at my friend’s request, I went to his base to deal with it, after using around 4 shulkers worth of tnt between 2 bases, Ludwig reversed the damage and admin claimed both bases. Now, and this was my bad, ill admit that, I got a bit angry, so I started making random lines of tnt in different places, wilderness, where it did not affect builds, damage would have been easily repairable. Shortly after that, Ludwig went back to my base, where we talked for a bit, and he banned me, after denying my request to REMOVE THE BUILD I MADE that HE restored and admin claimed. Later on after he “cooled down” everyone banned in that whole situation was un-banned, so I tried getting them to destory the build I was NOT ALLOWED to destroy on my own, even though it was my build. Their reasoning, it was a “monument” utterly ridiculous, and also because I was no longer intending to return, the staff refused to listen to any requests, not even to send me the ticket transcripts from the discord (pretty sure is against some rule, but not sure, would like feedback on that), they have since once again, banned everyone that decided to go to other servers, even if they still played on Apple a little but. I believe this to be a case of admin abuse. I am interested to hear yall’s thoughts, but I would not reccomend ANYONE join Apple SMP, or as it is rebranding to, Orchard SMP. Was a good server till I found out almost 50% of the active player count is virtual bots being run by the server. Owner will silence anyone who questions this.
