Dynamic Scaling Difficulty: Staying near spawn is relatively safe, but the further out you travel, the deadlier the world becomes. Mobs deal significantly higher damage in the outer regions.
Mutated Mobs: Watch your step. Spiders have been upgraded and will actually shoot webs to trap you.
Custom Weapons:
The Sledgehammer: Need some space? This deals extreme knockback to send enemies flying.
The Scythe: Not just for show. It interacts with crops to produce some very interesting custom effects.
Echo Books: Never waste a good grind. You can remove enchantments from your current tools and equipment and store them safely inside Echo Books for later use.
Optional PvP: You dictate your playstyle. Engage in combat with rival players, or opt-out and focus on building and surviving.
