Gilded Age


A Create server with a real player-run economy. The main thing that makes it different is that nobody can spawn money or items, including staff. Gold has to be mined, so coins are actually worth something and prices come from what players are willing to pay, not a creative-mode faucet.

The economy


Money is usually pointless on servers because admins hand it out and dupers wreck it. We don't do that here. Everything in circulation got earned by someone.


There's a working stock market with a live order book and a price ticker on screen, and prices move on their own as people trade. You can run chest shops, undercut your competition, or try to corner a market if you want to play it that way. No ranks for sale, no kits, no money from staff.


Create and trains


It's a Create server first. Automate whatever you can think of, then haul it around the map with Steam 'n' Rails trains. You can claim your track so nobody rips up your rail line, and your factories keep running for a while after you log off so you're not starting cold every session.


Towns


Towny is in. Start a town, claim land, run it as mayor and recruit people, or just join someone else's town and help build it.
